The challenge
The pricing team lacked a consolidated record of mortgage rate quotes because the data remained in branch forms. It needed a way to capture that information and support reporting on pricing exceptions.
My contribution
I developed Excel/VBA rate-calculation and data-submission tools, using centrally maintained rate information and a shared-file workflow to collect inputs for an Access data mart. The workflow also supported retrieval and processing of exception requests by administrative staff.
Results
The team gained a retained history of rate quotes and data for recurring exception reporting. Structured capture and import created analytical visibility into information that had previously remained dispersed across branch forms.
